We are accepting new clients and offering in-person or telehealth (video chat or phone) sessions.
We are expanding!
Wave Therapy is continuing to expand, opening more offices in Mission Valley and now offering psychiatric services through PEAK Health Services. Currently, we have 3 locations in San Diego and 1 in Orange County and we are currently hiring therapists, psychologists, and nurse practitioners. Wave Therapy was established in 2014 by Mark Brewer, MFT, LPCC, in Carlsbad, CA. As an established Marriage and Family Therapist in Private Practice, Mark had a vision that by uniting some of the finest therapists, together we would be able to offer our clients the highest level of compassion, support, and wisdom for self-growth and improvement, as well as to enhance relationships in their lives. It has always been Mark’s vision to grow the practice and when the time was right, expand into new locations.

Services at WAVE Therapy
When you feel challenged in your relationships with others, therapy can help you understand the core of the problem, and give you the insight and tools you need to improve these interactions. It will assist you in gaining a sense of personal control, meaning and connection in your life.
Individual Therapy is helpful for solving problems, encouraging self-development and supporting individuals in discovering their inner resources, building self-esteem and developing new healthy patterns and solutions to life’s challenges.
Being a teenager can be an extremely difficult time for parents as well as the teenager. It is a time when parents are continuing to enforce rules in the home that often coincide with a value system, and at the same time teenagers are attempting to individuate, find an identity, figure out their role in society, while attempting to meet the expectations and demands of school, teachers, coaches and parents; teenagers are attempting to do all this while hormone levels are drastically changing. Teen years are filled with anxiety and teenagers as well as parents are faced with difficult choices.
Family therapy helps families or individuals within a family understand and improve the way family members interact with each other and resolve conflicts. Family therapy is usually provided by therapists known as marriage and family therapists. These therapists provide the same mental health services as other therapists, simply with a specific focus — family relationships. Family therapy is often short term. You usually attend one session a week, typically for three to five months. In some cases, though, families may need more intensive treatment. The treatment plan will depend on your family’s specific situation.
WAVE therapy serves those who are looking to achieve their desired goals through providing tools to discover new ways of facing life’s difficulties.

It is our desire to be of service by creating a safe environment for clients to explore ideas and to practice new techniques to enhance their well-being.
WAVE also works with many other professionals in a comprehensive approach to understanding the balance between BODY, MIND & SPIRIT.
Wisdom. Action. Vulnerability. Encouragement.
WAVE stands for WISDOM, ACTION, VULNERABILITY, and ENCOURAGEMENT. These are some of the many positive principals our practitioner practice to make sure each client is as successful as possible at meeting their goal.
Wave knows that relationship challenges can disrupt one’s life fairly quickly. It can be difficult to focus or feel your best when primary relationships are not going well and are negatively impacting our lives.
