What can I expect during a therapy session?
There are many benefits to participating in therapy. Sometimes it simply helps to have someone who truly listens and understands you. Therapy can offer a new perspective on challenges and help guide you toward solutions. Many people find it helpful for personal growth, improving relationships, handling family concerns, and managing everyday stress. The benefits you experience often depend on how actively you engage in the process and apply what you learn.

What is our Cancellation Policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, you must provide at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged the late-cancellation fee.
What is Telehealth Etiquette?
- Keep your camera on during the session to help maintain connection.
- Do not join from a moving vehicle for safety and focus.
- Choose a private, quiet space where you can speak freely without distractions.
- For parents of children in therapy: Confidentiality and privacy are essential in therapy. Please set up your child in a space where they can speak openly without fear of being overheard. Ensuring privacy helps your child feel safe and supported during their session.
Can I seek therapy services from any location?
- Due to professional licensing requirements, our therapists can only provide therapy services to clients who are physically located in California during the time of the appointment.
- Hybrid, telehealth, and in person schedules can be discussed with your therapist based on your clinical goals and circumstances.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept a wide variety of insurances. For more information on coverage and billing, please contact our billing team.
Is private practice appropriate for my needs?
If you have decided private practice is not appropriate for your needs, here are other options.
- Intensive Out Patient (IOP)
- Residential
- Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
Is therapy confidential?
In general, the law protects the confidentiality of all communications between a client and a psychotherapist. Information is not disclosed without written permission. However, there are a number of exceptions to this rule.
Exceptions include:
- Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse. The therapist is required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s. The therapist must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
- If a client intends to harm himself or herself. The therapist will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, further measures may be taken without their permission in order to ensure their safety.
- Billing Insurance companies. If you are requesting that your insurance be billed they generally require a diagnosis and treatment plan from your provider.
