“Emotions tell us what matters. They orient and direct us, like an internal compass.”

  • Dr. Sue Johnson

It is human to experience emotion, and even more human to have times in our lives where our internal compasses don’t feel like they’re pointing “true north.” In these times, it can feel disorienting and overwhelming. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space for you to explore and experience emotions, share your story, and continue to learn about yourself as you grow and heal through the process of therapy.

The root of my therapy is based on a client-centered model where you are the expert in your story. I mold my therapeutic approach to each client and each session to meet you where you are. My work is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy, tailored to individuals, couples, and/or families. I pull from Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, identity work, and life changes and transitions. In my previous work at a crisis center, severe mental health conditions including schizophrenia, substance use, and active and immediate crises and safety concerns. My practice is a safe space for all cultural backgrounds, religious/spiritual beliefs, gender identities, and sexual orientations.

I believe it takes great courage to reach out for help and I understand the vulnerability of being in the client’s chair. My role as a therapist is one of the greatest privileges and honors of my life, and I find great joy in being with my clients through each stage in their lives and helping them process all emotions that may arise throughout their journey. You are the expert in your experience, and I would be honored to work alongside you to encourage you, empower you, and assist you in finding self-compassion, insight, and healing. I would love to connect with you!
