Hello! My name is Agne Bolsakova, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Originally from Lithuania, I have lived in the United States for over 30 years, which has enriched my understanding of diverse cultural perspectives. I am fluent in Lithuanian, Russian, and English, and I bring a global outlook to my counseling practice.
In my career, I’ve embraced various roles – from adjusting to life in a new country to working in corporate environments, raising a family as a stay-at-home mother, and later transitioning into counseling. These experiences give me a unique understanding of the challenges people face as they navigate life’s complexities.
As a counselor, I take a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, with a focus on understanding the whole person. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy used to help clients process and heal from trauma. I also draw from integrative methods, combining strengths-based and solution-focused strategies to address each individual’s unique needs. My experience includes working with clients facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, trauma, life transitions, communication and relationship challenges, grief, and adult ADHD. Additionally, I have a special interest in adoption-related issues.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is foundational to meaningful progress, and I view each client as the expert of their own life. My role is to listen, support, and collaboratively work with you toward finding solutions that help you move forward, whether you’re facing a specific struggle or simply feeling “stuck.” Let’s work together to explore new paths to healing and growth.
