I’m Yessenia (Yessi) Ordaz Aguirre. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker residing in Long Beach, California, and I am a virtual clinical supervisor for WAVE.

I am a trauma-informed therapist currently working with adults. I am passionate about supporting families in their parenting journey, family repair, and processing and healing trauma that can impact the quality of relationships we desire. 

My style of supervision is reflective and empowering. I would like supervision to feel like a supportive space in which supervisee’s feel safe to process challenges and encouraged to take the risks necessary to continue to grow and get to know who they are as clinicians. 

Lani is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 14 years of experience in the field. She has developed a rich expertise working in various eating disorder centers, specializing in compassionate, evidence-based support for individuals facing eating disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. Lani is well-versed in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, which she uses to help clients manage negative thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She approaches therapy with a human-first perspective and values building authentic, trusting connections with her clients. Lani uses these skills while supervising associate therapists. She is passionate about giving back to the field and guiding newer therapists with the extensive knowledge she has gained over the past decade.
