About

Hello! My name is Kim Moberly, LMFT. I have been practicing since 2014 and proudly providing clinical supervision since 2021. Since starting my clinical supervision journey, I have been honored to support AMFTs, ACSWs, and APCCs to gain experience to become licensed clinicians. Their experience and therapeutic modalities all varied. I have supported associates to build skills in working with adults, older adults, couples, families, and children. Associates I have worked with have enjoyed using Psychodynamic, CBT, Narrative therapy, EMDR, attachment work and more. Being an eclectic therapist myself, it is amazing to see which modalities really speak to clinicians as they hone their skills and understand themselves more as clinicians.

I believe that good supervision starts with meeting associates where they are at, providing clear direction when needed, and creating a working relationship that feels safe and supportive. I enjoy teaching clinicians how to conceptualize cases through the clinical lens of their choosing (i.e. CBT, Psychodynamic, etc.) and understand their client using good assessment measures and open-ended questions. I take a strength based approach to combat Imposter Syndrome that so often shows up. I also really enjoy teaching clinicians how to thoroughly document sessions and create strong treatment plans. My goal as a clinical supervisor is for each associate to feel confident moving into licensure. Associates can expect me to be both supportive and challenging, honest, curious, and always open to learning.

For myself, I enjoy working with a range of client populations and presenting concerns: adults, older adults, teens, and couples; folks wanting to work on anxiety, depression, relational concerns, past trauma, and more. I primarily use CBT techniques, but I also really love using DBT, Narrative Therapy, ACT, EMDR, and psychodynamic therapy with my clients.

Before I became licensed, clinical supervision was one of my most favorite times of the week. I loved having the ability to learn from my clinical supervisor and peers during group supervision, as well as being able to provide support to my peers on their cases as well. Sometimes the road to licensure can feel overwhelming, but with the right support the passion that brought you to this field will blossom into something beautifully your own.
