WAVE Therapy is a private therapy practice established in 2014 by Mark Brewer, MFT, LPCC, in Carlsbad, CA. As an established Marriage and Family Therapist in solo private practice, Mark strongly believed that professional counseling benefits most by uniting some of the finest therapists together.
He wanted to be able to offer client centered therapy at the highest level of compassion, encouragement, and wisdom for clients’ self-growth and improvement, as well as to provide a sense of community and support for the counselors serving them. It has always been Mark’s vision to grow the practice, and when the time was right, expand into new locations.

Rooted in San Diego County, we understand the importance of client-centered therapy and making people feel understood and supported. We are here to help you realize and accomplish your goals. It is our intention to build trusting relationships with each client and to embark on a collaborative journey together.

WAVE emphasizes integrating and understanding the balance between BODY, MIND & SPIRIT. Our sister company, RISE, located at our Vista Sky location, was founded by Mark to further his ethos of holistic care through spiritual, yoga, and mindfulness-based classes and services.

Central to Mark’s vision, Wave offers their counselors weekly home groups and regular bonding events within each office, monthly focus groups across all locations, biannual all-staff meetings, and immersive RISE experiences to foster a sense of collective support and self-nurturance.
