Rhyne Dacuycuy

AMFT

Some people come to therapy with a clear story. Others come with a knot in their chest and no words for it yet.

I’m Rhyne Dacuycuy (he/him), an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, grief and loss, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming and committed to culturally humble, trauma-informed care.

My style is warm, collaborative, and real. I’ll meet you with compassion and curiosity — and we’ll also work in practical ways, so you leave sessions with clearer insight and tools you can actually use.

With children, I focus on emotion regulation and building emotional, social, and relational skills — helping kids understand their feelings, express needs, manage big reactions, and feel more confident at home and at school. I also offer parent support to help caregivers feel more grounded and effective, with strategies tailored to your child and your family.

I also enjoy working with boys, young men, and men around anger—especially when anger is covering grief, stress, overwhelm, or a lifetime of having to “be fine.” Together, we’ll build skills for regulation and communication while exploring the deeper story underneath.

My approach integrates person-centered therapy with CBT- and DBT-informed skills, alongside attachment-based and psychodynamic insight. Our work blends depth with practical tools — so change isn’t just understood, it’s lived.
