Having a healthy relationship with yourself and others is not always easy. There are times when it can be challenging to embody the positive support that you need, rather than that inner critic that is not always helpful. I believe that improving your sense of self-worth and self-esteem through self-acceptance, compassion and appropriate boundaries, with yourself and others, is necessary to maintaining healthy relationships and imperative when working through life stressors that impact our quality of life.
A little bit about myself, I prioritize spending quality time with my loved ones. I recharge by going out on daily walks, being out in nature, especially the beach or lake. Some of my hobbies consist of going to theme parks, learning about history, and playing games with friends and family. Professionally, I have counseled adult individuals, adolescents, couples and families from many different backgrounds including members of the LBGTQ+ community. I tend to focus on helping my clients rediscover meaning and connection with themselves and their relationships as well as managing daily stressors such as challenges with communication, anxiety, depression, anger management, bipolar, and trauma recovery. I am committed to working together on getting you unstuck and on the right path for you to bring healing, purpose, and inner peace to your life.
My approach in therapy is primarily CBT, and I utilize concepts from ACT & DBT. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and I am looking forward to being a part of your journey.
