Dr. Julia Armbruster

Psychologist

During the course of a lifetime, we are likely to encounter obstacles we are not prepared for, or travel down roads that do not lead us where we hoped. Whether emotional pain comes from past events, trauma, current life stressors, loss, depression, phobias, anxiety, anger, grief, or phase of life transitions, I believe that everyone possesses the ability to improve their quality of life and heal. I work collaboratively with my clients to develop individualized treatment plans that progress them through the road to recovery. Building from a strong therapeutic alliance, We will pull from a broad range of evidence based therapies to help you reach your goals.  I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Eye Movement Desentization and Reprocessing Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.  I enjoy working with a diverse population of adults and specialize in working with individuals whose lives have been impacted by trauma and are dealing with post traumatic stress. I have extensive training and experience working with veteran populations, active duty military, and their families. Other areas of expertise include working with individuals whose lives have been impacted by sexual assault, child abuse, natural disasters, vehicular accidents, violent crimes or traumatic loss. I believe my job is a privilege and enjoy joining my clients to help them reconnect with their values and move forward in their lives.
