If you’re reading this page, you might be wondering if things in your life could be different. You might have difficulty getting through the day, struggle with important relationships, or just want to know yourself better. You feel like something needs to change but you don’t know where to start. That’s where I come in.
Hello, my name is Lisa and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with clients throughout California. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Adolescent Studies from California State University, Fullerton, with a concentration in Family and Community Context. With this concentration, I focused my studies on how the family and community impacts a child’s development. It was through my experience and education in Child Development that led me to pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. With over six years of direct clinical experience, I am trained in several different evidence-based treatments that can help you reach your goals.
I am passionate about working with children, teens, and adults to help them find confidence in uncovering their most authentic selves. A few of my specialties include helping clients work through depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges. I have extensive experience in supporting families and parents in developing clear communication and increased connection with their children. I have worked with clients from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, including those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. I help individuals heal by guiding them through EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which focuses on letting go of past trauma and challenging memories to bring more peace and joy into their lives.
I believe in a client-centered approach, where I join you in identifying the areas of your life that are not working and creating goals which will guide the therapeutic process to give you relief. It is my personal mission to provide a space where my clients feel seen, heard, and valued in our time together. Whatever you are going through, you are not alone. Let’s get started on your therapeutic journey today!
