Picking up the phone to make your first therapy appointment can be overwhelming. Perhaps you are worried you will be judged, or had a terrible experience in the past- I am here to meet you where you are. I strive to create an empathic and non-judgmental environment to create the safety we all need to confront and process our most inner fears. It is my belief that there is nothing wrong with any of us, just that we have been conditioned into believing we are lacking in some way. This can cause us to feel stuck, less than, and ultimately unhappy.
I use the tenets of mindfulness, Attachment theory, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to create insight and awareness into the underlying thoughts that feed into negative beliefs about yourself. Some of my specialties include working with adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, anger, and depression, and couples struggling with relationship and intimacy issues.
Through our collaborative relationship, we will process the emotional blocks that prevent you from connecting with your partner the way you once did. I look forward to working together and helping to bridge the gap between how you see yourself and who you really are.
