Furthermore I have worked and volunteered with various agencies gaining a plethora of valuable experience with diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds. And have experience both in residential and outpatient setting.
I worked at Turning Point Crisis Center providing short term crisis intervention and resources to the homeless population.
I worked at the San Marcos DUI for over 3 years providing education and counseling to court referred individuals.
I volunteered with VITAS Hospice for over 5 years providing grief and loss counseling and support to individuals and families going through end of life stages.
I was a Victim Advocate Volunteer for the Women’s Resource Center in Oceanside for over 5 years, providing support and resources to victims of sexual assault and Domestic Violence.
My goal as your therapist is to help you discover your own solutions as you and I navigate your personal journey. I believe and know that it takes a lot of courage to seek help specifically with many cultures who were raised with believes about seeking help being a taboo. However, I also believe that each individual has his own solutions to their problems and sometimes through having some education, a support system, and/or a sounding board individuals are able to figure out the solutions to their own problem.
By using a collaborative effort with my clients and using either an eclectic, CBT, or MI approach I can assist my clients achieve the desired change or their therapeutic goals.
