Our journey through life is complex and for every person, will come with many successes, triumphs, joys, and pleasures as well as challenges, concerns, and problems. I believe it is important to view the whole person, within the context of their relationships, family, community and society to gain a better understanding of all that is helpful or unhelpful along this journey.
I completed a Masters and Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and completed a year certificate for Narrative Therapy with the Dulwich Center in Adelaide Australia. Throughout my career I have brought my Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral training to my work, while also attending to the social factors that contribute to the problems that people face.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have been honored to support this journey for many children, adolescents and adults faced with challenges and concerns related to learning differences, school or work struggles, social or relational challenges, and the process of developing an identity that one can be proud of. I have worked alongside the Autism and neurodevelopment community since 2000, supported youth in the LGBTQ community, and have supported parents, families, couples and individuals of all ages when facing anxiety and depression. My work within community mental health, public education settings, and a neurology healthcare clinic has also given me a range of training and experience to work with a range of concerns. I would be honored to work with you.
